£22,676 per annum
Fixed Term Contract until August 2018 – 35 hours per week (Mon – Fri, flexibility will be required)

As Learning Skills Co-ordinator you will be working on the Manchester Personalised Education Programme in partnership with Manchester Adult Education and Manchester City Council to enable young people with disabilities and/or social, emotional mental health needs to access real work opportunities and develop independent skills to support their transition into Adulthood.

Position Summary
As a Learning and Skills Caseworker, you will provide a range of services to people aged 16+ across the Manchester area which including
• Support around employment, volunteering, health & wellbeing, leisure activities and community participation.
• Connect people to their communities to engage in opportunities to contribute to a fulfilled and meaningful life.
• Identify the client’s needs and create a study programme which will enable them to develop their skills and successfully complete a qualification
• You will work in partnership to create scheme of work/lesson plans for the clients to complete on a one to one basis.
• Additionally, you will have responsibility to co-ordinate Job Coaches who support your clients.
• Write sessions plans which enable the clients to complete accredited units; you will support the Job Coaches to implement these sessions.
• Plan goals with the clients and review these on a regular basis to monitor and record progression.

Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have the required skills and experience to undertake this role including;
• Experience within the education sector is essential in addition to a proven track record of high levels of achievement
• Excellent organisational skills and an acute attention to detail
• You must be passionate, committed, creative and able to work with young people who have struggled in traditional educational settings
• Ideally, you will have access to your own car and be willing to get business use insurance
• Teaching/training qualification or willingness to work towards would be desirable
• Ability to be flexible in terms of working hours to meet the needs of the business

Interviews will be held Tuesday 22nd &Thursday 24th August interviews and will be Cheadle Heath, SK3
