Our client a successful expanding business is looking to appoint a HR Manager on a Temp to Perm or possible straight Permanent full time basis.

The role based in Leicester will suit an experienced HR professional that has experience of not only dealing with HR issues but also recruitment.
The HR Manager will report in directly to the Managing Director & Finance Director forming key relationships with senior members of the business.

This is a generalist HR and H&S post where you will be expected to roll your sleeves up and ensure that the basics are done brilliantly well and that the day to day HR and H&S activities are delivered to a high standard.

The role and responsibilities:

- Accurately maintaining employee HR records in line with statutory requirements
- Recruiting staff including writing up job adverts using various job boards and social media including linkedin and other methoda
- Pre-screen suitable candidates and conduct interviews through to offer stage
- Preparing offer letters and contracts of employment
- Oversee and manage successfully the induction of new staff into the business
- Administering and monitoring sickness, maternity leave & holidays planning etc.
- Advising on pay and other remuneration issues
- Analysis & co-ordination of training needs in conjunction with line managers
- Develop and manage a staff training program across all areas of the business
- Develop and maintain up-to-date HR policies and guidelines
- Assisting department managers to understand policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support through disciplinary, grievance and absence management processes
- Managing the appraisal system and process
- Conducting regular staff one-to-ones
- Build recruitment/development plans for business growth
- Provide monthly reports to Payroll
- Liaise with H&S advisors to ensure the business is compliant with health & safety legislation
- Ensure H&S policies and procedures are communicated, applied and enforced
- Ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for all employees
- Guide the completion of risk assessments, processes, training and safe systems of work for all activities and tasks being undertaken in the business
- Maintain correct and accurate data for all H & S activities
