Housingrecruit.com is currently advertising for a Trainee Recovery Worker on behalf of their client, a leading social housing provider based in Southwark.

Kirkwood Rd is a rehab service based in Southwark SE 15 for people with complex mental health needs, recently remodelled in line with the government’s choice and personalisation agenda. Kirkwood Rd provides 12 self-contained flats, a communal area, and garden ideal for offering clients activities around the creative arts, cooking, gardening and relaxation. They are now recruiting for the following full-time role – 35 hours per week (including weekends, early & late shifts on a rota)
Working alongside Recovery Workers and other Team Members, this entry level role will offer you the opportunity to develop skills and abilities to support people with complex mental health needs increase their confidence for independent living. You will have a problem-solving approach, the ability to prepare meals, be customer focussed, and have a genuine interest in mental health.
This role is designed as a pathway to becoming a Recovery Worker. If you perform well in the role, you will have the opportunity to become a Recovery Worker following the 12-month traineeship.
