Workshop Engineer (Construction/heavy plant machinery)

Gloucester, Stroud, Gloucestershire

GBP25,000 to GBP28,000 + Plenty of optional overtime paid at a premium rate + Pension + 28 holidays + benefits.

Working weekdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m

A Workshop Engineer is required for a successful family run business, who are looking to pay top rates for the right candidate. The company are well established and have a large market share in the South West.

The role will suit an experienced Workshop Engineer from construction plant, HGV, agricultural, heavy forces equipment or similar backgrounds. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and experience working on engines, hydraulics, electrics and the associated diagnostics equipment. It will be highly beneficial if the Workshop Engineer has dealt with PDI's before.

The Workshop Engineer will work predominantly in the warehouse dealing with reactive maintenance of large plant machinery. The successful candidate will also be required to carry out PDI's prior to equipment going out. Whilst 90% of the time will be spent site based, some of the Workshop Engineers time could be spent outside of the depot, when there is a large breakdown that a Service Engineer may need assistance with. The client base is local and the company operates throughout the South West and South Wales predominantly. The breakdowns will be on a variety of construction and heavy plant machinery.

The Workshop Engineer Role:

* Workshop Engineer, working on a wide range of construction and heavy plant machinery.
* Ensure customer satisfaction and company standards are always maintained to a high level.
* Happy to work workshop based the majority of the time with occasional trips to the field.

The Workshop Engineer:

* Experienced Workshop Engineer working on construction and or heavy plant machinery.
* Good knowledge of Hydraulics, engines and basic wiring.
* An ability to fault find.
* Live local to the Gloucestershire area
