Main Purpose of Job:

To be part of a team responsible for manufacturing, inspecting and testing of glass coated products.  To initially assist in the manufacturing processes within the peel wash inspection area.  To be responsible for ensuring processes and procedures are followed to the required standard to ensure that shipments are met on time. It is repetitive, requires good dexterity, high levels of concentration and good eyesight. You will also be dealing with some mild chemicals. 

Previous cleanroom manufacturing and microscope inspection experience preferred but not essential


Main Duties:

To be involved in area clean-downs and area preparation prior and post manufacturing

To carry-out detailed defect inspections using a microscope

To perform measurement and analysis of defects found during inspection

To be able to carry-out the delicate handling and peeling of deposited layers to specific standards

Follow Process Instructions to ensure a repeatable process

To interact with Engineering/Supervisor for reporting of problems and providing suggestions for improvements

Team Working:

To work within a team environment, assisting other members, sharing workloads and communicating effectively amongst the team

To record process parameters, particularly yield information so that process control can be maintained and records reviewed from time to time

Late shift 14.45 to 22.45 Monday to Fridays. 

Prior to starting the late shift, training will be given on the early shift of 07.00 to 15.00 Monday to Friday.


To adhere to all quality procedures set out in the Quality Manual

Assist in the quality processes and recommend any corrective actions

Health & Safety:

At all times follow good laboratory practice guidelines and procedures to ensure that your own safety is not compromised and equipment is correctly used, cleaned and maintained

Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions immediately to the Production Supervisor
