Payroll Assistant

Permanent – Part Time – 28 hours per week

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Payroll Assistant to join our busy Finance team.

The Role:

Our Payroll team processes all aspects of payroll, including data processing, administration of our payroll, time and attendance systems for 800 permanent & seasonal employees.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in a fast-paced payroll department
  • Have an understanding of relevant legislation, including HMRC
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
  • Have previous experience working with Sage Payroll & Kronos Time and Attendance systems or similar
  • Have an organised approach to their work
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • Be able to work without close supervision
  • Have a “can do attitude”, show pride in your work, demonstrate excellent customer service skills and have the drive and commitment to work within a team

Salary is £12,156.96 per annum working 28 hours per week, working Monday – Friday. The exact working pattern is flexible and will be discussed at interview. There may also be the requirement to work extra hours during busy periods and to cover for holiday leave.
