Lecturer in Engineering (WREQ1068)

Do you seek to apply your Engineering experience and knowledge to an ‘Outstanding’ college?

Weston College is the home of specialist engineering training for some of the UKs most influential industry champions within the Engineering sector.

Due to the recent expansion of our Engineering provision, we are seeking a Lecturer in Engineering within the Technology Faculty. As the Lecturer in Engineering, you will join our Engineering Team based at the South West Skills Campus to teach across an exciting portfolio of engineering provisions, including Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE), and Apprenticeship courses. We are looking for a specialism within the areas of Maintenance, Fitting, Aircraft Propulsion, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and welcome applicants with wider areas of expertise, such as composites, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and metrology. Your engineering specialism will also support the wider curriculum development through devising schemes of learning, lesson plans, and ensuring compliance with College procedures, undertaking course reviews, assessment, and internal verification, and staying abreast of developments relating to the specialist area.

We are looking for individuals who can inspire the next generation of Engineers across our FE, HE, and Apprenticeship portfolio. So, if you are on a journey to outstanding, then Weston College is the place for you.

We welcome applications from aspiring lecturers. Therefore, if you have an industry background and think you have the potential to become a lecturer of the future, then we have an excellent 'Industry to Education' training programme that would support you to retrain whilst working for the College.
