Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Bristol
Reports to: Michael Painter (Design Manager)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, generally between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00
Salary Range: £20,000 - £22,500 (dependant on experience)

Main Purpose and Scope of the job
As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be supporting the company by assisting the design team in producing high quality complete design packages for a variety of clients.

Your responsibilities will include;
* Plant selection and sizing in line with specifications/schedules
* Pipework and ductwork sizing in line with latest regulations
* Production of working and "as installed" drawings
* Manage and update drawings to latest floor plans and elevations
* Use thermal analysis software to calculate heat losses and heat gains
* Attend meetings as part of a team and individually to ascertain clients' requirements
* Project hand over meetings with estimating and contracts teams
* Assist with CAD during periods of heavy workload

Skill Set, Qualifications and Experience
* HNC in Building Services related qualification
* The view to becoming a chartered member of CIBSE
* IT proficient - all relevant Office packages, AutoCAD, Hevacomp
* Excellent communication skills at various levels from subcontractor to client
* Comfortable working amongst a team yet equally as driven when working alone
* Receptive and adaptable to change
