Our client is a long established personal mobility specialist providing a range of high quality products. They are now seeking a Workshop Engineer / Technician to join their team.

You’ll receive on the job training where required so although wheelchair maintenance experience is ideal it is not essential.  

The Role 

As a Workshop Engineer / Technician, you will be tasked with repairing and servicing our client’s powered and manual mobility products. 

You will focus on servicing, adjusting and repairing wheelchairs and carrying out modifications and adaptions. 

In addition you will also be required to provide holiday, sickness and back-up cover for field-based engineers to repair and deliver parts to customers and organisations at their homes and premises. 

About You 

To be considered as a Workshop Engineer / Technician, you must have: 

- Previous practical experience of maintaining and/or repairing equipment 
- A full driving licence 
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
- A flexible and focused nature 
- The ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative 

An engineering background would be beneficial to your application. Although ideal candidates will have this, it is by no means essential. 

Other organisations may call this role Workshop Engineer, Service Technician, Engineer, Technician, Service Engineer, or Service Engineer. 

Our client is also interested in hearing from candidates who have held the role of Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Repair Technician, or Workshop Technician.
