Transport Co-Ordinator Nights

Salary £20-22k per annum

As a result of ongoing business expansion our General Haulage and Pallet Network business requires people who want to be part of our expanding team.

We are currently looking to recruit a Transport Co-ordinator to work Nights, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 6pm-6am.

Transport Co-Ordinator Role:

·         De–Brief drivers on return to the yard, ensure Tacho cards are downloaded, all paperwork filled in correctly, vehicle washed and POD’s are visible on the company mobile tablet, pictures of strapped loads.

·         Ensure drivers folders have mobile tablet, keys and fuel cards

·         Train drivers to use the company mobile tablet in line with the traffic management system, Truckcom

·         Capture infringement reports for drivers and ensure driver is briefed

·         Raise bonus non-conformances of company policies and procedures of drivers and pass to the Transport Manager.

·         Monitoring jobs, progress chase, ensure vehicles are on time, maintain Truckcom system to service customer requirements, update customers/customer service team

·         Carry out checks to ensure vehicles are clean inside/out

·         Out of hour returns should be monitored and handed over to customer service team to arrange delivery back to the customer

·         Out of hour de-murrage should be logged and reported to customer service team

·         POD scanning and filing

·         Assist with preparing documents for the weekend staff to replenish driver folders

·         Defects reported and are dealt with appropriately/liaise with the garage

 

Transport Co-Ordinator Experience & Skills:

Candidates should be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of driver hours and legislation on road transport regulations as well as an extensive geographical knowledge of the UK. You should be computer literate and preferably experienced with transport management systems. Be able to work on your own initiative, cope with pressurised situations and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
