As one of the UK's leading independent professional services companies we are currently looking to recruit an Audit Assistant for our Hull office. As part of the Audit & Assurance team, you would be tasked with assisting in the execution of client assignments, delivering value by providing a consistently high standard of work.

As part of the Assurance team you will be challenged by varied and interesting work and exposed to the skills required to become a trusted advisor to your clients. You will ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with government legislation, ensuring that client and statutory deadlines are routinely met. You will work closely with the Audit Manager and Seniors in investigating all audit issues, ensuring appropriate consideration is given to audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as part of a high volume and fast paced accounts team. You will ideally be AAT qualified looking to progress to ACA/ACCA, which the company would support. Experience working within an accountancy practice environment would also be a distinct advantage.

You will be a well organised individual, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. This is a client-facing role so excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with people at all levels will be required. Good IT skills will also be required (Excel and Sage).

With almost 3500 partners and staff across 35 offices generating a fee income of over £300 million, you would be joining one of the 3 principal mid-market accountancy firms at a particularly interesting time.
