Shepton Mallet Town Council is seeking to appoint a fourth member of the team to assist in the general day to day office administration procedures. There will be ample opportunity to learn new skills and to provide to the successful applicant a gateway to a career in local government. Full training will be provided with support to participate in sector based qualifications.
The person appointed will have good communication skills and will be computer literate. The person should be willing to be adaptable when undertaking the day to day challenges that are regularly presented in a public facing environment. A courteous and personable manner is therefore essential.
This role will allow a person seeking part time work within a small team to progress their career aspirations within the first tier of local government. The post is based at Park Road, Shepton Mallet, for 15 hours per week over Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays. The salary will be set at the Local Government scale of 15-17.
