An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an SHEQ Manager to join us in Manchester.

Within this role, you will implement the Company SHEQ Policy and systems on all Works.  You will monitor compliance with the policy, procedures and systems and will provide support to the operational teams where necessary, reporting non-compliance to Managers.  You will also instil a strong SHEQ culture within all staff and subcontractors working on Mears contracts.

In order to be successful in this position, it is essential that you have current knowledge of SHEQ legislation, good working practices and also safe systems of work.  With substantial practical SHEQ experience, you should hold Grad IOSH (or similar) and also a NEBOSH General Certificate.

Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and database entry will also be required.

Although not essential, experience and understanding of SHEQ issues in a building/construction industry would be beneficial.

Candidates should also hold a full UK driving licence
