Operational HR Advisor - 6 Month Maternity Cover Fixed-Term Contract

Our client, a global leader in information security, is looking for an Operational HR Advisor to join their team on a six month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

As an Operational HR Advisor, you will be responsible for providing HR guidance to employees and Managers across the UK. 

In this standalone role, you will report to the HR Manager and act as the primary contact for HR issues within the UK. You’ll take charge of a wide variety of project work, develop and maintain effective employee relations and act as employees’ confidential representative. You will manage all employee relations activity including absence, disciplinary procedures, grievances and sickness and ensure managers are coached and trained in the correct response. 

You’ll identify and implement changes to HR-related processes as required, prepare and maintain record and reports and manage the new hire and termination procedures. 

Additionally, your role will involve: 

- Working alongside Payroll and preparing payroll changes 
- Taking responsibility for the HR IT system 
- Maintaining personnel files 
- Supporting and advising Managers regarding performance management and associated procedures 

Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have: 

- An HR and/or personnel related qualification, such as a CIPD Level 5 or above, OR equivalent experience 
- Experience of using MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and HRIS software 

As an Operational HR Advisor, you must have great interpersonal, organisation and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously. A proactive, results-focused approach is also key. 

HR experience gained within a matrix structure would be highly desirable. Experience of working in a fast paced, dynamic IT organisation would also be preferred.
