Embedded Software Engineer - Contract
Rates: GBP45 - GBP56 per hour
Start: ASAP

A stimulating and challenging opportunity has arisen to join a global leading consultancy designing and developing medical devices as a Contract Embedded Software Engineer within their ever-expanding team, based in Cambridge.
Providing medical devices to some of the largest Pharma and MedTech companies worldwide we have partnered with an exceptional firm to source an excellent Embedded Software Engineer to continue development and exceed expectations across multiple different medical devices projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and Development of innovative software systems for the medical industry
Detailed Firmware and Software development for medical products
Support business development activities associated with the teams software offering
Attend the team's cross-selling product development projects
Work with the team to ensure Quality Management system requirements are met
Technical Skills
Considerable experience and a track record of delivery in engineering within software systems
Experience of programming embedded software in C/C++
Scripting language such as Python
Experience of real time systems using a real operating system
Understanding of Hardware
Able to create Software Documentation
Experience of multi-disciplinary development projects
Degree in Software, Systems or Electronic engineering
Experience of project technical lead roles
Algorithm development and modelling
Consultancy skills
Experience of working within a medical device development company or similar consultancy
Structured problem solving ability
Excellent communication skills including the ability to discuss with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team
Excellent analytical ability
Understand of working within a strict environment
