A new opportunity has arisen for a Fork Lift Truck Driver to join a family-run waste paper and recycling company with over 25 years experience in the trade.
Salary: £8 per hour
Hours: 6 month trial period with a view to becoming full time. Monday to Friday 6.30 – 17.30 and Saturday 6.30 – 11.30 (Saturday shifts will be paid at time and three-quarters)
The role
Reporting to the Foreperson, the Forklift Truck Driver / Labourer will be responsible for the following:
• Labouring duties including the loading and unloading goods of vehicles
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions
• Checking loads are secure
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks
• Picking and packing products
What you’ll need
• A valid license/certificate to operate FLT trucks (Reach and Counterbalance) - RTITB
• Experience in picking, packing or dispatch
• Physically fit as manual lifting is involved and a lot of labour intensive work
• Punctual and reliable
• Able to organise and prioritise workload
