Surface Mount Operator
Burnley
£10 p/h (dependent on skills and experience)
Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 17:00pm; Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 noon
Our client has identified an excellent opportunity for an experienced Surface Mount Operator to join their team.
The role
As Surface Mount Operator, your job will comprise mainly setting up and operating the automatic SMT assembly line equipment, including pasting, loading populating, reflowing, inspecting, and reworking boards. From time to time other electronic assembly work may be required.
• The operator will need to comply with the Company’s quality standards
• The operator will be required to maintain records in accordance with the Company’s QMS
• The operator will need to carry out 1st off and in-process test of the assemblies, record results and carry out rectification work using hand solder equipment as required
• The operator will be required to maintain a clean and safe working environment
Who are we looking for?
We need an experienced SMT Operator with the following skills and experience:
• Proven skills and experience of operating modern automatic SMT assembly equipment
• Working to a high standard under pressure
• Experience with Tyco Quad machines would be highly advantageous.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to identify SMT process issues, communicate effectively and implement speedy corrective and preventative actions
• A good working knowledge and understanding of modern SMT manufacturing techniques and electronics assembly processes
• Skilled in the use of hand solder equipment to carry out SMT corrective actions as required
• Able to work flexibly
