Female Home Care Assistants & Support Workers - Award Winning Provider!
We are looking for Care Assistants & Support Workers in Newcastle to start or progress their career in the care sector with an award-winning home care provider. If you have a caring, compassionate, proactive nature then we would love to hear from you.
We have clients across the Newcastle area, including Jesmond, Gosforth Park, Heaton, Westerhope, Woolsington, Cramlington, Ponteland, Whitley Bay, Benton, Gateshead, Lemington, Killingworth and surrounding areas.
As Care Assistant & Support Worker you will be providing quality support to clients within their own homes, including elderly clients with Dementia or Alzheimer’s, as well as people with learning disabilities. You will be helping individuals to remain independent and promote their personal choices and decisions.
This is an example of one of the clients you will be supporting:
‘I have lived in Newcastle since I was married to my Gadgie. He passed away this year gone past and I get rather lonely at times. I have found I need more help than I used to about the house, especially with cooking and cleaning. I do struggle with my morning and nightly routine at times and often find I need some help getting dressed and getting in and out of the shower. I don’t drive anymore so I could do with some help getting out and about to the shops and to appointments. Keeping my independence is very important to me and I’m looking for someone to give us a helping hand day to day … as well as have a good gab now and again!’
What are the hours, pay rates of a Care Assistant & Support Worker?
- £8.10 - £8.90 per hour DOE, increasing to £17.80 per hour on Bank Holidays
- 30p per mile mileage
- Salary increases with QCF qualification and longevity of employment.
- Generous Mileage Allowance
- Full and Part time hours, 7am – 3pm or 3pm – 10pm, including weekends on a rota basis
- Weekend hours only are also available
