Senior Technical Officer - Environmental Protection
£24,093 - £26,154 per annum (subject to grading review)
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic officer to support the delivery of Community Health Services by providing general and technical support within the Environmental Protection Team. You will assist Environmental Health Practitioners in the investigation of air and noise pollution, nuisance complaints and the programmed monitoring of pollutants in the local environment. You will also hold a responsibility for maintaining statutory and technical and administrative records.
You will be dealing with members of the public on a day-to-day basis and you will encourage a culture of excellent customer service and ensure the environmental protection services are delivered to the highest possible standard.
Applicants must hold a degree or diploma in Environmental Science/Health or be able to demonstrate experience of pollution control, environmental protection and nuisance investigation duties.

You will be required to complete an Avon and Somerset Constabulary Non-Police Personnel Vetting form as you will be working with the Police Authority.
