1st / 2nd Line IT Support / Desktop / Network Support Engineer / Analyst
An exciting opportunity has arisen for and Experienced 1st or 2nd Line IT Support / Network / Desktop Support Project Engineer to join a highly motivated and dynamic team in a long standing and rapidly expanding IT support company based in Frome, Somerset.
A hands on approach to installations and IT support is a necessity for this role.
This position also offers further career based training & development, private health care, various performance based benefits and a dynamic team based environment.
Minimum of 2 years experience or high MS Qualifications needed for application.
Driving Licence is required.
Responsibilities:
- Providing IT support and troubleshooting on site
- Installation of new equipment and technologies
- Assisting 2nd and 3rd line support
- As part of a close knit IT support team, you will be working with a number of clients in many sectors of the private business environment
- Providing a high level of customer service to a wide range of users, including those with minimal IT knowledge
- At times Responsible for providing IT support and troubleshooting via telephone and remote support software
- Liaison with 3rd party software vendors where required
Essential Skills / Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience within an IT Support role either internally or for an IT support organisation.
- Full Driving Licence (Maximum 6 points)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows
- Experience of Microsoft Application Support (such as Microsoft Office Suite)
- Working knowledge of networking protocols TCP-IP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP and VPN etc. (2nd line)
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Desktop, Laptop & Printer troubleshooting
- Anti-Virus solutions experience
- Proactive and self-motivated
Desirable Skills / Experience:
- Microsoft certification or qualifications.
