Systems Controller - Glendale Horticulture

Location: Fretherne, Gloucestershire

Salary:  Circa. £25,000-£30,000 per annum.

Glendale Horticulture is an autonomous business unit with a turnover of £8 million, in the £65 million turnover Glendale Group of Companies. The business grows and supplies a wide range of high quality ornamental plants to the amenity and retail sectors.  With the head office based in Gloucestershire, Glendale Horticulture manages eleven nurseries across the UK, with seven nurseries spread throughout the Vale of Evesham, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, two sites in Kent and two in Lancashire.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will be part of our team who work hard to provide support to the operational team.

This is an important role for Glendale Horticulture, and the right candidate will have a good knowledge of business systems to ensure that the Company are utilising their resources in the correct way. 

The Systems Controller will be required to offer system configuration support as well as to plan, organise, control and evaluate electronic data operations. They will ensure that the horticulture and finance systems in use are optimised and secure for the company whilst also dealing with any system updates.

Applicants should have degree level education and will demonstrate significant IT skills as well as a proficient interest in system configuration. Any knowledge of horticulture, finance, sales/stock or SQL reports would be advantageous.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, who is organised and has the ability to work within tight deadlines and timescales.
