Restaurant Assistant (XMAS Temp) - Taunton - 20 hrs

Christmas is a busy and exciting time for Debenhams. In order to provide our customers with a relaxing and satisfying experience in our Caf??'s or Restaurants we need some extra help in the coming months. Our Restaurant Assistants are calm and positive under pressure and enthusiastic about working with food and drink products. This temporary role will offer you the chance to experience the exciting variation that comes with working in retail at our busiest time of year. Our Restaurant Assistants use their product knowledge to promote our fantastic menu - whether that is breakfast or brunch, a coffee and a cake, a hearty lunch or afternoon tea. When preparing food, at the tills, hosting customers or clearing away, they strive to deliver the best possible service to their customers and colleagues at every opportunity. A strong attention to detail through ensuring high standards of food presentation, cleanliness, and keeping our restaurants immaculate and inviting is vital. Equally, an ability to demonstrate initiative and a flexible and multi tasking approach are qualities which will help you thrive in this fast paced and fun environment. Being able to work closely with others and the ability to build rapport and naturally engage and interact with all sorts of people, are essential. For some of our stores our Christmas vacancies could take effect as early as September and run through until early January and will require you to be available within the local area for this period. Our staff will be required to work some of our most important trading dates which include 3 rd / 4 th , 10 th / 11 th , 17 th / 18 th , 23 rd / 24 th and 26 th Dec, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. This is a fully flexible role and will require you to work up to 5 out of 7 full days per week for which rotas will be provided 4 weeks in advance (including weekends & bank holidays). The days and times for each shift may vary depending on the business needs. Although every care is taken to ensure the correct closing dates are advertised occasionally we will close this vacancy prior to the published expiry date if we receive a high volume of applications.
