In order to support this commitment, we're currently looking for an Applications Support Analyst to assist with technical project work packages.

Your main role will be day to day Application support activities, principally on our Capita Housing Management system. You will ensure continuity of Business service, maintain and administer our Repairs, Mobile working and back office systems such as HR, Payroll and Accounts. You will undertake common admin tasks, checks and error diagnosis of all Merlin's Applications and ensure that Interfaces are fit for purpose, robust and effective. You must have relevant ICT work experience with a good understanding of software implementation, support and development, including thorough knowledge of RDBMS i.e. SQL Server 2008-14, have a good understanding of Systems Analysis and knowledge of scripting languages.

An interest in Software Development Life Cycle and Coding will be highly advantageous as well as experience working in an ITIL environment. You will contribute to a service rota that currently covers 7am-7pm Monday to Thursday and 7am-5pm on a Friday.

The successful candidate will have technical expertise of at least 3 of the following;

Excellent understanding of SQL

Knowledge of database administration (DBA)

Ingres /MS Sql Server

Reporting tools such as CorVu, Business Objects or Crystal Reports

Excellent knowledge of MS Office 2010 onwards

All Merlin employees are required to undergo a DBS check every 3 years. The level of the DBS check varies depending on the role.
