FLT Counterbalance Operator

Counterbalance FLT Driver Double day shift and Night Shift

A Counterbalance FLT Driver is required to join one of the UK's largest independent box and container manufacturers.

You will be working in a busy warehouse environment loading and unloading trucks. You must have previous experience driving a Counterbalance FLT truck and provide an up to date RTITB certificate. Some lifting will also be involved. Applicants must be flexible to carry out warehouse duties as and when required which may include, palletizing, picking, putting stock away and any other general FLT duties.

All lifting work carried out on the FLT must done in a safe manner in accordance with RTITB training.

Duties to include
- Receiving, moving, checking and storing incoming goods.
- Checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type, and also acceptable quality.
- Picking products.
- Selecting space for storage and arranging for good to be placed in the designated areas.
- Making sure that all inventory processes are completed on the same day.
- Loading and unloading lorries, vans and other vehicles.
- Maintaining and servicing warehouse tool, machinery and trucks.
- Labelling goods that have arrived at the warehouse.
- Operating a forklift.
- Preparing deliveries for hauliers.
- Moving and organising stock.
- Ensuring a clean and safe workhouse for staff to work in.
- Storing stock away safely.
- Removing hazardous products from the warehouse.
- Using Mechanical Handling Equipment i.e. fork lift trucks to move goods around.
- Moving items through the warehouse from receipt to despatch to customers.
- Accurately updating all data into computer and manual recording systems.
