Embedded Software Engineer - C/C++ x2 - Nr Harrogate

Embedded C/C++, Embedded Software, Firmware, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, CAN, UDP, TCP/IP, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, IoT, BACnet.

Commutable from Harrogate, Leeds, Ilkley, Wetherby, York, Ripon.

This innovative Company are looking for an experienced Embedded C/C++ Software Engineer x2 for their Harrogate site, designing a range of Remote Monitoring, Sensor & Control devices for the Energy/Utilities IoT sector.

You will have excellent Embedded C software design skills, Embedded C/C++ and exposure to communication protocols and networks such as ZigBee, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP, RS232, RS485, BACnet etc. You will also ideally have wireless product design experience and product design experience from concept through to production over the full development life cycle.

As an Embedded C/C++ software engineer you will have a structured approach to design and verification, be accomplished in the use of revision control systems and ideally have ZigBee expertise, though not essential. Candidates should have an understanding of IP Networks and connectivity with Embedded products. You will be able to produce efficient Embedded software implementations and have a good appreciation of hardware and experience of writing software drivers. Candidates should have an appreciation of user interface design for mass market products.

You will play a key role in the realisation of leading edge smart sensor & control products. Candidates will ideally be an experienced software engineer who has successfully implemented user interfaces on Embedded products. It is key that you can demonstrate a track record of success in your career to date. You will have a passion for design excellence and demonstrate outstanding technical competence.

Excellent, Technically challenging and interesting development projects allied to the IoT, working in a small friendly team offering variety in a multi-disciplined environment.
