They have exciting opportunities for a number of Employment Support Officer to join the business. These are full time, fixed term roles until at least March 2018 with potential to extend to 2020! As they are in a growth phase, there may also be permanent opportunities in the future. The roles will be based in and around Mansfield in North Nottinghamshire and in and around their Derby Centre. A driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Enhanced DBS clearance is also required for this position.

These roles are part funded by the Skills Funding Agency and European Social Fund.

You will be engaging young learners aged 16-24 on our Step Forward Programme, a Skills Funding Agency (SFA) and European Social Fund (ESF) project. You will build and maintain beneficial relationships with local Job Centres, community groups, schools and other key stakeholder agencies across the East Midlands to promote their pre-employment and training opportunities. Providing group and one-to-one information sessions, careers advice and guidance to customers, you will signpost them to the most appropriate training programmes. You will ensure that classroom based learning is planned to meet local demands and all courses are promoted, and accurate dates and timelines are communicated to stakeholders.

You will have outgoing and engaging networking skills, with proven experience of working with a high level of autonomy and in a target driven environment. You will be able to communicate effectively with people from varied backgrounds coupled with proven experience of working with young people aged 16 to 23, job centres, work programmes and other lead referral agencies.

They have three thriving centres in Beeston, Nottingham and Derby where they provide local people with the skills and qualifications they need to flourish in the workforce. A new centre will be opening in Mansfield early 2017. Their growth plans involve increasing the number of businesses we work with throughout the Midlands to drive turnover to £10m in two years and they are looking for people with a passion for helping local people and local businesses to help them achieve these goals.
