Resident Assistant Housemistress with Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

Part Time, Term time only, Residential

Salary: Grade 4

We are seeking to appoint a permanent residential Assistant Housemistress from January 2017. This is an exciting and varied post working in our vibrant boarding house. This post is term time only and will include Teaching Assistant responsibilities. Fully funded accommodation will be provided.

The post holder will be responsible for the pastoral care of our Sixth Form boarders and for organising and running the weekend activities programme for boarders which will also include working with the younger students ages 10-16, You will also undertake a variety of roles to support subject teachers and individual students or small groups.

The successful candidate will have experience in a pastoral care and boarding setting, be able to work effectively under pressure and be committed to providing the highest standards of care. We are looking for someone who is a team player with a proven track record of being able to act on their own initiative. They will have to demonstrate a fair but firm approach and must enjoy working with young people.
