Area Sales Manager (Building materials)
Location: Swindon (Covering Bristol, Reading and Gloucester)
Salary: ??36k - 38k per annum DOE + commission + company car
Hours: full time, Monday - Friday

My Client is a specialist manufacturer of building materials for the construction market. We manufacture products under our own brand for a number of market leading companies in their field as well as offering products direct to market through our own brand such as Ecorend.
With our own R&D department which is equipped to leading industry standard, we are at the forefront of innovation for our sector.
As part of our growth strategy we are looking to employ a very highly motivated Area Sales Manager to help build the business. This individual will manage business development within the region and promote our products through main contractors, specialist refurbishment contractors, local architects and developers.

THE ROLE- Area Sales Manager- Location: Swindon (Covering Bristol, Reading and Gloucester)
This newly created position will play a fundamental role in acquisition of new customers and management of existing clients' growth objectives. The role involves:
  • Researching and assessing sales opportunities
  • Building and maintaining existing client relationships
  • Developing and nurturing long-term relationships with customers and prospects
  • Self-generation of new sales leads and opportunities for prospects as well as cross-sell/upsell opportunities within the customer base.
  • Researching and profiling prospect and customer accounts
  • Generating leads via customer lists/cold calling
  • Carrying out site visits and surveys as required

This an opportunity for an individual who is highly driven, who understands the construction market, but wishes to join a small but innovative business where they can achieve real career ambitions with the rewards this brings.

Successful candidate has to have a proven sales background from the construction/building materials industry with experience in selling to strategic accounts and managing a number of sales opportunities. Excellent communication skills are key. The ideal candidate will be someone that enjoys a fast paced environment.

This role does require candidates to hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
