This Assembly Manager position is perfect for someone from a mechanical engineering background who is looking for leadership responsibility in a hands-on role. The company is a specialist SME with steady growth, a dedicated team, and innovative, award-winning audio technology products. They are looking for an Assembly Manager who has a mechanical engineering background and leadership/supervisory experience, to lead the assembly team and improve production efficiency.

What will I be doing?
-Lead, manage and motivate a team of 10 Production Operatives
-Monitor and analyse efficiency and output
-Report on productivity
-Identify areas for improvement
-Work closely with R&D to improve production engineering, quality and efficiency
-Create and improve operating procedures
-Train new assembly staff
-Establish production schedules
-Manage supplier and purchasing schedules

What do I need to demonstrate?
-Background in mechanical engineering
-Understanding of mechanical production
-Experience supervising/leading/managing a team
-Able to use Word and Excel to create and analyse reports
-Able to write basic databases for monitoring/storing production info
-Experience in product assembly
-A strong team player who is able to lead from the front
