To help achieve this ambition, we are launching 'Dovetail Live' - a programme operating to deliver long term value and insights into the company and its franchises via:
- The acquisition and segmentation of customer data
- The building of engagement and loyalty programmes for customer retention purposes
- Deep analytical understanding of customer behaviours within and around our game franchises
We are looking to recruit a Web Developer, reporting into the Programme Manager, who will envision, design and deliver the framework for all web-based features related to Dovetail Live.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain customer-facing website and web technologies for Dovetail Live
- Work closely with Creative Services team to implement consistent look-and-feel
- Ensure great UI and UX across mobile, desktop and console manifestations of any websites or web-based assets
- Work closely with the Engineering team to take backend feeds/data and display them through the various customer-centric web-based touchpoints
- Work closely with the Player Engagement Manager to ensure programme goals are realised in terms of visuals and experience
- Working with the Engineers and Programme Manager to design and implement the end-to-end website portal and web-based systems which fulfil the business objectives of Dovetail Live (including account management area, manifestation of aggregated data within a friendly format, programme attract/guidelines, etc.)
- Ensure continued use and adoption of modern standards, with particular attention paid to security and integrity
- Balance creative needs against practical design and implementation capabilities
- Champion modern web technologies and experience and provide recommendations on best approach, etc. across Dovetail Games' web properties
- Be intimately familiar with the overarching concepts of Dovetail Live and ensure the vision is realised through the website in accordance with this plan
- Liaise closely with the Web Engineer to provide a seamless and engaging link between the backend/big data aspects of Dovetail Live and the frontend representation of that to customers
- Ensure customer UI/UX is constantly optimised through careful measurements and analysis of user interaction with the site(s) and make recommendations on changes to create immediate improvements
What we look for in you:
- Ideally you'll have experience with all or most of the following:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- Javascript and Ajax
- MVC Framework like AngularJS
- Consuming REST APIs
- UI frameworks like Bootstrap
- Mobile and Desktop responsive design
- Build and package systems like Bower and Grunt
- Unit, integration, functional and load testing along with tools
- Source control like Perforce or Git
- WordPress and plugins
- Various CMS systems
- Experience working with a similar remit in the gaming/software (or parallel) industry
- A demonstrable history of building successful websites/portals
- Strong organisational and design skills
- Experience working with internal stakeholders across multi-disciplinary organisational structures
- The ability to design and communicate on complex systems
