Centre 404 is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.

We are recruiting Support Workers to work with a diverse range of people with mild, moderate and severe learning disabilities as well as people who may have additional physical, sensory or mental health needs.

We are looking for fun-loving and enthusiastic people with good communication skills to support people to maintain their health and wellbeing as well as maintain and develop existing relationships with family and friends. Support Work involves supporting people to become valued and participating members of their community; developing new and existing interests such as wheelchair ice-skating, going to the theatre, organising and attending parties and accessing exciting London attractions.

Your role will also include supporting people with everyday living and to live as independently as possible. The role will require you to provide physical assistance to support people to carry out domestic tasks such as shopping and cleaning and to support people with personal care using a dignified and respectful approach.

We can offer varied roles and welcome support workers who have experience in supporting diverse client groups to apply. However, previous experience is not essential just a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and the ability to work positively as part of a team. Support workers can also develop skills in supporting people with mental health needs and behaviours which challenge, and working with people to independently sustain their tenancies and develop their autonomy through seeking employment.

We are looking for support workers to cover a range of full-time and part-time permanent vacancies. Hours and contracts offered will be dependent on positions available when shortlisting, please ensure that you specify your experience and availability on the application form as this will be referred to when shortlisting suitable candidates for current vacancies.

Salary: £16,450.20 per Annum (pro rata) rising at probation and annually to £19,240
Hours: Vary depending on role (Permanent Full-time and Part-time positions available)

Centre 404 is fully committed to staff development and supervision and will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support to learn everything needed to be a great support worker.
