Options The Thicket are recruiting for 2 Outreach Support Workers for their newly established Outreach Service supporting adults with autism, based in the Leeds area. Salary Scale ??16,100 p.a. - ??18,600 p.a. (??7.20 p.h. -??7.60 p.h.) depending on experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new outreach team, working in the community and providing care to adults in their own homes with autism, Asperger's Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. Working 43 hours per week, this position will also include working at our residential service based in Otley, Leeds, therefore the flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including weekends is essential. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY AS FULL TRAINING IS PROVIDED Following a thorough induction and training programme, your duties would include: Supporting learning experiences at home and the wider communityDeveloping personal and practical skills to enhance independent livingEncouraging participation in daily tasksReporting and recording key aspects of careManaging complex and challenging behaviour Skills Required: Hold or willing to work towards Health & Social Care NVQ Level 2 or Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults)Effective communication skills, written and verbalAbility to record information accuratelyCommitment to working positively with families and othersMust hold valid UK driving licence If you are a caring and compassionate individual, looking for a career as an Outreach Support Worker, please apply immediately.
