The opportunity: We have a rare and exciting career opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join our team as Project Buyer based from our European HQ in Salfords, Surrey. You will be responsible for procurement activity that delivers value for money, minimises risk and aligns with best in class procurement strategies. You will provide procurement expertise across diverse supply categories and multiple projects whilst working as part of an experienced team. You will have the opportunity to have a significant direct impact on Cubic's current and future projects (both during the bid process and after contract award) and the ongoing development of the procurement strategy during an exciting period of growth. What we're looking for in you: You will already have proven and significant experience working in a purchasing function at Buyer level. You will have a demonstrable, successful track record in negotiation, sound contract knowledge and Procurement experience gained in an Engineering, Project or Commodity environment. You will have experience of cost reduction and the ability to monitor and analyse product cost. You will also possess the ability to respond to complex and diverse enquiries which may require innovative solutions. You will be proactive, responsive, flexible, commercially astute and able to work collaboratively with the business to achieve organisational aims. How was your commute today?
