Review MRP daily and interpret production plans and forecasts to ensure the timely availability of materials required by internal customers, principally manufacturing.
Manage the value/level of inventory, in accordance with agreed parameters.
Record and report price performance and other relevant quality/market issues to interested departments.
Research and identify alternative supply sources for existing or new goods and services to ensure continuity of supply.
Liaise with other planners to ensure full awareness of any potential material shortages that may impact on customer service levels.
Report on all material shortages which affect the plan and suggest actions to prevent future recurrence.
Qualifications and Experience:
IT literate; with basic experience of the SAP system and Microsoft office.
Effective communicator, able to work with a variety of people at all levels.
