They are now looking to recruit a Home Ownership Officer to join them to provide an efficient and locally responsive estate and neighbourhood management service to customers and other key stakeholders.  They have two opportunities available, one permanent and one fixed term contract for 12 months.

Working closely with other departments as required, you will provide an effective estate management service to customers and undertake scheme inspections on a regular basis and supervise contractors providing estate services.  Attending customers’ consultations meetings in relation to estate services and service charges and regularly consulting homeowners regarding standards, level and range of services on their schemes, you must regularly liaise with our homeowner customers to make recommendations for scheme improvements. 

Producing annual scheme service charge budgets and accounts in line with lease requirements, you will deal with general day to day lease queries and deal with any breaches of leases; undertaking leasehold consultations in line with the requirements of Section 20 legislation.

With demonstrable experience within a customer facing role, and extensive experience of working in Housing Management in a Local Authority or Registered Provider setting, you must have hands on experience of managing a varied portfolio of properties defined as shared ownership / leasehold housing and a background in the preparation and monitoring of service charge budgets and audited accounts.  With experience of setting up new contracts, re-tendering of existing contacts and the management there of, you should have a background of tenant involvement and be capable of undertaking section 20 consultations and interpreting and responding to the priorities raised.
