We are currently looking for a qualified accountant in the Financial Reporting team to join a team of finance professionals responsible for sourcing, consolidating and reviewing financial information and associated analysis and insight; ensuring that the processes and numbers are robust, controlled, accurate, reconciled and understood. You will be liaising with different areas of the business and at all levels. You will need to deliver analysis that provides evaluation and insight. This permanent role is an integral part of the current Financial Reporting team and will play a part in supporting the delivery of the Group's long term Financial Control strategy. Including, but not limited to: • Preparation and analysis of FCA / Bank of England / and PRA regulatory returns to include Pillar 3, FinRep and CoRep reporting requirements. • Monitoring regulatory policy, proposals and consultation papers and initiating YBSG response to them. • Documentation and update of regulatory reporting procedures and process maps. • Supporting the delivery of key financial elements of the ARA and interims. • Providing knowledge and expertise to assist the delivery of strategic projects. Skills/Experience required will differ across the roles but may include: • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) • Rigorous, methodical and well organised, ensuring that activities are correctly prioritised and that all interested parties are aware of responsibilities, deadlines and progress. • Intellectually strong and capable of digesting and interpreting complex regulatory and financial information. • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills. • Experience of working in a in a multi-disciplined, deadline-driven, Finance function. • Excellent analytical and reporting skills. • Strong Excel skills with the ability to undertake analysis of large amounts of data. • Ability to identify and address key risks/implications associated with any activities or changes. • Financial Services experience would be preferable but is not essential We offer: • 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays • Bonus scheme • Private Medical Insurance • Pension Scheme • Health Cash Plan • Subsidised staff investment and mortgage products The Yorkshire Building Society is an equal opportunities employer
