The Company: Our client are specialists in the production of bespoke equipment for specific client requirements to within the waste industry. They have over 60 years of experience and have a superb name in the South West. The Job: We are delighted to be assisting our client with their requirement for a Service Manager for their Bristol operation. Our client is looking for someone who is able to lead a small busy team of Service and Maintenance engineers. Key duties and responsibilities include: Ongoing Management of a team of 5 workshop engineers Management and allocation of tasks to the external engineers Production and Maintenance scheduling including management of the teams working schedules Assisting in the identification of electrical/mechanical/ hydraulic issues and ensuring that the team are competent Management of stock both physical and process, plus maintaining/reviewing the supplier database Ensure health and safety measures and compliance are met for the team and associated external bodies Continuous improvement of internal process, planning and scheduling. The Person: This role is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their planning, administrative, communication and general management skills. Prior exposure to the management of a diverse disciplined team is essential to allow the business to continue its growth. It's essential you have an organised approach combined with a diligent proactive work ethic and very strong communication skills.
