About Us

The King’s Academy opened in 2003 in south Middlesbrough, serving the former catchment areas of the Coulby Newham and Brackhenhoe schools. The Academy has a distinct Christian ethos and a focus on ‘character first’ education. The Academy provides specialist support for students with deaf/hearing impairment, blind/visual impairment and higher learning needs from across the Teesside region. Student achievement has improved steadily since opening and the successes that the Academy has enjoyed to date are due in no small part to the excellent teamwork and cooperation that exists between staff, parents and students.

The Role

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to fill a new position in a team led by the Vice Principal, Academic to raise academic standards amongst our 1,200 11-18 year olds. This is a non-teaching position within the academic team, which works to support all aspects of the curriculum and assessment. We are seeking a numerate graduate with experience in data analysis, a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn, as well as the ability to make the complex appear simple.

Responsibilities include:

  • database management;
  • collection, management, analysis and reporting of key student data;
  • providing support to colleagues across College in the management and use of data;
  • liaising with external agencies to gather and provide data at different times of the year.
