One of the companies provides high-quality support services to all aspects of the college group. They are a subsidiary company of the College and provide an important service and plays a pivotal part in the success of the college and creating an exceptional learner experience. 

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Web Developer to join them to be responsible for the technical development of their external websites that supports their marketing and learner engagement strategies.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Web and Learner Engagement you will take the lead in developing and maintaining the college’s websites, lead specific technical projects and complete technical documentation on coding standards, system infrastructure and processes used in maintaining web systems. Demonstrating a high level of expertise in areas of internet and authoring systems, you will take requirements, copy and content to produce appropriate architectures, structures and application design.
 

Maintaining an awareness of new technologies and making recommendations on their use, you will act as a point of call for any online technical enquiries and work with IT teams to ensure the consistency and continuity of service uptime and accuracy in the publishing of online content.

Highly experienced in web development and with in-depth knowledge of web and database programming skills in C#, .NET, and SQL, you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in IT and have Numeracy and Literacy to Level 2 (or be willing to work towards this). Able to demonstrate a high level of web authoring and production skills in XHTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript, the successful candidate will have substantial experience of integrating business systems with web technologies, designing and building websites and applications and programming websites for best search engine optimisation (Google Analytics).

With a working knowledge of web server technologies including IIS and SQL server, a customer focused approach is essential as is excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills; analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work methodically and accurately.
