Managing and controlling the site maintenance activities including both operational as well as facilities maintenance, the Maintenance Manager will control the links between Maintenance and the EHS, QA, CI & production Departments, liaising necessary with partners to prioritise and schedule work.  

Working within agreed departmental budget and developing and implementing core processes and procedures, you will manage and develop all maintenance personnel through training and coaching and deliver against agreed site KPI’s.

Defining, coordinating and reporting on maintenance schedules, you must set and drive performance for all team members and continuously seek to add value, improve efficiency, and reduce wastage through applying lean principles, wherever applicable.  You must also ensure all areas of responsibility conform to 5S standards and assist with the development of apprentices.

Candidates for this role will ideally hold a relevant manufacturing/engineering degree (or HND Professional Level 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualification) coupled with extensive plant level experience and proven man management skills (Multi-skilled an advantage).  With a strong technical capability and understanding, you will ideally hold or be able to attain H&S Qualification e.g. IOSH Managing Safely.
