The Company: Our client has developed a unique technology that enables users to receive tactile feedback without touch or equipment. It's a hugely exciting product and due to ongoing research and development they are seeking to expand their team in Bristol. The Job: We are delighted to be assisting our client with their requirement for an Electronics Technician. This role will be to provide support to other engineers and handle laboratory space management at their Head Office in Bristol. Within this role you will have responsibilities such as: - Test, debug and rework of electronic assemblies including support for verification testing and maintenance of appropriate test records - Build prototypes and test equipment - Support the development and verification of product tests - Maintain lab space and equipment, including calibration - Manage lab consumables - Oversee lab space and equipment use, and safety training - Order components to support prototype builds - Assemble and test hardware for customer deliveries and maintenance of related records The Person: For this role, our client is looking for someone with: - Good understanding of electronics fault finding techniques - Solid soldering, wiring, and cable assembly skills - Good with mechanical hand and power tools (for building test jigs/etc) - Able to understand electronic schematics, and electrical and mechanical drawings - Proficient with use of standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, etc. - Familiarity with Altium, Word, Excel; - Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, VBA, a benefit; - Minimum NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline or proven experience; - Minimum 5 GCSE grades A-C, including Maths, English, and Science. The Location: Central Bristol, no car parking The Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week, 8,30am - 5pm or 9am - 5.30pm The Salary: £23-25,000
