The Position - Helpdesk Manager

Location - Warrington

Salary - GBP25,000 - GBP26,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager of a lucrative construction business, the successful Helpdesk Manager will oversee six Planners of a busy maintenance and responsive works team. You will be responsible for supporting senior management in meeting the business needs; attending meetings with work colleagues and or clients/customers when necessary; dealing with client/customer queries and or communications professionally and efficiently.


* Using the latest company I.T systems to provide a Helpdesk support service
* Monitoring and resolving escalated orders/complaints
* Carrying out quality audits on recorded calls and provide feedback
* Liaising between clients, Managers and Operatives
* Supporting Contract and Helpdesk staff
* Dealing with internal and external communication and recording or reporting information as necessary
* Overall responsibility for Helpdesk KPI's
* Ensuring quality audits are carried out on a monthly basis
* Carrying out training and development reviews and maintaining awareness of individual staff requirements to ensure continued motivation and staff retention
* Identify and providing Helpdesk training requirements
* Continually monitoring resources and identifying requirements, interviewing and recruiting staff to meet these requirements
* Ensuring contract/own KPI's are met

Person Spec


* Drivers Licence
* Experience in a similar role within maintenance
* Experience of managing a small team
* Excellent computer literacy skills - Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly pick up and use any other software systems as necessary
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Adaptable and flexible in approach to work
* Self-starter; task and results-oriented, with excellent problem- solving skills


* Experience in a construction environment
* Confidence and commitment to providing a high quality, professional service
* Support individuals who have problems that may affect their performance
