A teaching assistant is required to support 1:1 a pupil in year 6 with ASD. The pupil has learning difficulties and some challenging behaviour. The role requires support with understanding and a breakdown of the lesson.

The head teacher will be looking for graduates who have an interest in psychology, or child development and be able to support a pupil based on their abilities.

* Immediate or January start until the end of the academic year (DBS dependant)
* GBP65 gross per day, 5 days a week
* Easy commute to Mitcham Eastfields station

Candidate requirements:

* Excellent communication skills to build rapport with this pupil and support long term
* A positive and caring approach with previous experience of supporting children, SEN experience would be desirable
* This can be a challenging role with supporting pupils with high needs; therefore the right candidate will need to be resilient and strong minded, yet patient and understanding of the pupils special needs
