Radio Frequency Technician
Location: Wellingborough
Salary: 20k plus excellent benefits including Company Pension
Job Purpose
To work within in the Research and Development Department, and to primarily assist in the fulfilment of research and development activities.
As part of the Research and Development team the individual will work with experienced engineers and technicians on a wide variety of products and associated tasks.
The successful candidate will gain experience and training in many aspects of antenna engineering and design.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake assigned tasks in an organised manner, recording and documenting relevant information and data.
• Collaborating with other departments to support product developments and improvements.
• Assist engineering and production with defined tasks for ongoing product improvement and extended design work.
• Undertake validation testing by application of appropriate defined methods and processes.
• Undertake assigned tasks in regards to existing product failure mode investigation
• Climbing of on-site test masts
Qualifications & Skills
• Attained high educational standards in Maths and English
• Computer skills, especially in MS Word & Excel
• Excellent verbal and written reporting communication skills
• Methodical approach to tasks and attention to detail
• Experience of RF via work or Hobbies
Desirable Skills
• Science based qualification
• Antenna fundamentals and transmission line theory
• Ability to read and understand drawings and technical literature
• Experience of working within a technical environment
• Previous use of RF measurement equipment
• Use of mechanical measuring equipment
• Ability to work at heights
Training will be provided at the required levels to be effective within the R&D team, and in accordance with the requirements of health and safety and company policies
