Our client, an industry leading utility company in the south of England is looking for Dual Skilled Technicians from an M&E background to undertake reactive maintenance on Wastewater treatment works. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced and qualified Dual Skilled (Mechanical & Electrical) technicians to join their team within a permanent position.

Deliverables:
-The role will be involving a variety of maintenance activities on wastewater plants, including process equipment associated with Wastewater.
-Using your own initiative to carry out planned & pre-emptive maintenance.
-Fault diagnostics, emergency break-down repairs, modifications as well as minor installation work for the plant.

Responsibilities:

-Routine electrical/mechanical maintenance at various locations, involving a number of different water related industrial processes.
-Inspection and testing of installations to ensure compliance with current Standards & Regulations.
-Ensuring that all relevant statutory & regulatory procedures are achieved and upheld.
-Carrying out maintenance and fault-finding in compliance with current Standards.
-Provision of specialist technical advice wherever applicable and provide training support for technical trainees.
-Compliance with the Health and Safety regulations and client required Health and Safety standards.
-Updating the Maintenance office with basic data with the use of hand held devices. Detailing spare parts requirements, working times and irregular operational conditions, etc.
-To work according to housekeeping procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
-The role may require the technician to take part in standby 1 week in every 6 weeks on a call out basis, although this will be confirmed at the interview.

Skills & Qualifications:
-BTEC/HNC in a combined Mechanical and Electrical discipline.
-City &Guilds Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, or NVQ level 3 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering ideal.
-Proven track record and technical hands-on field experience in maintenance, ideally with some experience in waste water equipment.
-Experienced in industrial works such as: Aviation, shipping, military, Army, Navy, manufacturing factories, water companies, and electrical contractors from large organisations preferable.
-Physically fit and able to be trained in safety procedures e.g. Confined Spaces.
-Experience working with large pumps, actuated valves, control systems (VSD, 3 phase electrical switch gear)
-Full UK driving License

Package & Benefits:
-You will receive an annual salary of GBP27,000-GBP35,000 per year. On top of this you will be applicable for yearly pay increases and additional benefits.
-There may be a call out Rota 1 in 6 weeks allowing for additional overtime and rate premiums for normal and out of hours work. You also receive a standby premium for each week you are on call.
-Progression and movement within the company is also available.
