Graduate Programme 2017
We are looking for people that can not only produce numbers but also build lasting relationships with clients and advise on all aspects of their business.
At Dains we recognise that our success is dependent on our most important asset - our people. That is why we have developed an award winning training programme to ensure that our trainees are given every opportunity to be the business leaders of tomorrow.
Our approach:
For the graduate who is looking for a firm in which they can enjoy a rewarding career, look no further, as our firm offers one of the widest ranges of professional services available to businesses throughout the Midlands.
Within the accountancy practice our core business areas are as follows:
• Accountancy & business services
• Audit
• Business recovery & insolvency
• Corporate finance
• Taxation
As you can appreciate a good tax adviser will require different skills to a good auditor, therefore the training package is tailored to the business area in which a career is chosen. However, many skills used in each business area are transferable, and something that sets us apart from our competitors is our willingness to allow trainees to transfer between departments as their career develops.
Current opportunities:
For 2017 we are currently offering ACA and ACCA trainee contracts in the following core business areas:
• Audit - Birmingham, Stoke and Derby
• Taxation - Birmingham
Our next graduate assessment days will take place on 7 and 8 February 2017 at our Birmingham office.
Minimum standards apply to our graduate placements. Graduate ACA and ACCA trainee contracts normally commence in September.
Our Training Package provides:
• A fully funded block release ACA or ACCA study programme
• Regular feedback from management and the training provider
• Introductory courses to assist understanding of accountancy, auditing and basic tax
• Regular reviews of progress with the Training Partner
• A system that has produced a consistent overall pass rate of over 90% for the past 5 years, (a statistic national firms would be proud of???)
• An ongoing commitment to improve the system in conjunction with the training provider to ensure examination success
• Continued development of the individual into a commercially aware accountant/adviser
• Ongoing internal training during the course of your employment to develop those skills necessary in today's fast moving accountancy practice.
A summary of the other key benefits available on joining are as follows:
• A fully funded ACA or ACCA study package;
• 33 days annual leave (including normal statutory bank holidays);
• Payment of professional subscriptions;
• Staff rewards scheme
• Group staff pension scheme
• Death in service of 4 times salary
• A flexible benefits package where you can opt to buy or sell holiday; take private medical cover or dental cover along with many other options
