Job Purpose (brief description of role): To assist the Landscape Manager in the asset development of the soft estate, landscape scheme conception, design & delivery and assisting with Visual Impact Assessment and mitigation for engineering schemes. Developing packages of work for EDF and Renewals. Plus, enabling the client to achieve their landscape strategic aims and objectives and promoting environmental best practice throughout the commission.
- Implement requirements of the Environmental Designated Fund Plan - Design landscape mitigation.
- Liaise with Landscape Self-delivery team and sub-contractors - Identify and develop schemes to improve the soft estate.
- Develop Value Management submissions including presentations
- Present VM bids and landscape training as required.
- Undertake landscape design and create specifications for soft estate works.
- Create drawings in CAD
- Undertake "beat-up" surveys
- Write reports
- Liaise with designers and contractors regarding landscape elements of scheme implementation.
- Consult with the public and environmental bodies as necessary.
- Liaise with the Area 9 Communications Team to resolve complaints/requests and queries.
- Responsible for effective and appropriate use of best practice and innovation in landscape design and management for environmental and engineering schemes.
- Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with all legal requirements via the processes set out in the Health and Safety Procedures Manual.
