Non-Teaching Support Role
Learning Support Assistant with personal care ?are you able to work with challenging young people?
We have an urgent need for Learning Support Assistants to work with FE / College Students in the Blackpool and Preston areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for people with the right qualification and experience Responsibilities of the post:
Working within the College's Special Educational Needs department, you will be supporting students through one to one support including personal care, and assistance with basic skills.
Roles and responsibilities will involve:
? Supporting the student with their course, improving independence
? Where needed assisting with mobility and personal care
? Working with other learning support workers and lecturers to ensure that pupils receive maximum support
Successful applicants MUST HAVE
? Experience of working with pupils aged 16+, ideally in an FE setting
? PEG Feeding experience
? Excellent knowledge and hands on experience supporting students with Profound and Multiple learning difficulties
? Comfortable with helping students with personal care and have manual handling training
