Direct Job Role -

  • Line manager for all warehouse staff & drivers, reporting in to the Transport & Logistics Manager
  • Arranging shift rotas & holiday rotas in accordance with company guidelines for all warehouse and driving staff
  • Organising cleaning rotas for all areas of the warehouse and yard area
  • Conduct regular H&S checks and top up training & keep records to such effect
  • Arranging all training courses as required for distribution & warehouse staff
  • Booking in of stock on to company computer system
  • Booking in all incoming delivery times to ensure smooth flow in the yard, allowing appropriate time for stock to be checked and paperwork to be filled out correctly. Liaise with office to arrange this whilst placing orders.
  • Liaise with stock purchaser on stock levels and re order times to keep stock levels within agreed tolerances
  • Arrange maintenance & repairs of all other aspects of the site and distribution related equipment
  • Complete all computer related administration related to the Warehouse
  • Work rotational Saturday and Bank Holiday shifts

 Job Responsibilities -

  • Ensure your team keep the empties yard tidy and organised. All empties to be sorted and stored in the correct area and any collections are arranged and made ready
  • With your team, conduct regular stock takes using a system where top selling lines are counted regularly on rotation
  • Ensure your team complete all daily check sheets for all FLT & Distribution vehicles
  • Ensure the cleaning rotas for all areas of the warehouse and yard area are completed to a regular and satisfactory standard
  • Responsible for all H&S training for all distribution & warehouse staff
  • Responsible for all warehouse related admin - in periods of absence this can be delegated out to the office staff or warehouse supervisors
  • Ensure stock rotation each time new product is purchased/sold
  • Oversee the input and output of all stock on a daily cycle
