Looking for a new challenge?

Are you an existing Trainer Assessor working in the recruitment sector or do you have experience working in the recruitment industry, either in an agency or as part of an "in-house" recruitment team? Do you have professional recruitment qualifications, such as the certificate in Recruitment Practice? Are you interested in teaching and want to make a difference to someone's life? Then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

What will the role involve?

You will be home based and working "in the field" with a caseload of learners which will involve travel to sites within your area so you'll need access to a car along with a driving licence.

You'll manage your own diary and will work a 37.5 hour week, with occasional evening work as determined by the needs of your learners. You'll train and support learners to successfully complete their recruitment apprenticeship, usually within a recruitment agency environment. You'll work through face to face discussions, remote assessments, use of internet based portfolios, and web based Maths and English learning solutions.

You'll tailor and devise individual learning plans, identify any additional learning needs, and provide the learner with all relevant information, guidance and resources to ensure their progress is kept on track.

What skills are we looking for?

To be successful as a Trainer Assessor at learndirect you must be approachable, self-motivated and possess high levels of empathy. You must be an excellent negotiator and able to use your initiative to solve problems, often involving different stakeholders.

As a remote worker it's critical that you're able to manage your time and diary effectively, and can work independently and flexibly, responding positively to change. As you will be visiting learners on site in the Cheltenham/Gloucester area it is essential that you live within an easy commute and have your own transport.

You must be comfortable working with a range of IT packages so that you can access and utilise the technology available. You'll be required to support learners to achieve a level 2 qualification in Maths and English so you must be able to demonstrate this level of competence yourself.
